GOOD COMPANY

Good Company was established in 1986 by Artistic Director, Sue Pomeroy, and is well known for adventurous stagings of well loved classics and new work. They have an enviable reputation for the high quality of their touring productions and supporting educational service, serving audiences across the UK and internationally. Acclaimed classic productions include Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Hard Times, and most recently, Emma. New work includes the pioneering musical Strange Kind of Hero, which will embark on a national tour 2003 / 2004.

Jane Eyre is Good Company’s second Brontė production, the first being Wuthering Heights which they premiered in 1994 and toured for over 50 weeks in four tours, all with star names. The show was hugely successful, playing to packed houses and gaining a wealth of glowing reviews, a selection of which are included in this pack. Audiences and the press universally praised the production for capturing the spirit of Emily Brontė and our new adaptation of Charlotte Brontė’s Jane Eyre promises to equal, possible exceed, the success of Wuthering Heights.
