Charles Dickens'
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Directed by Roy Marsden
Ron Pember’s musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic festive tale, A Christmas Carol, directed by Roy Marsden and with Eric Richard in the role of Scrooge, played a five week season at the Bloomsbury Theatre from Tuesday 4 December 2001 until Saturday 6 January 2002. The production was presented by Vanessa Ford who was also presenting Glyn Robbins’ adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit at the Queen’s Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue from 28 November 2001 – 9 February 2002.
Charles Dickens’ classic festive tale of hope and joy has now been made even more magical in this acclaimed musical adaptation by Ron Pember. Directed by Roy Marsden, and with Eric Richard in the role of Scrooge, this freshly traditional production takes us on Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey – a journey where many lessons are learned that take Scrooge from a ‘squeezing, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner’ to a thoughtful, bountiful purveyor of happiness and laughter for the Christmas season and ever more.
