PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS – AUDITIONS

With 7 international tours and a UK tour currently in full swing, and a West End season about to open, David Friend and Simon Morley, the original Creators of Puppetry of the Penis, will be holding auditions for further ‘Puppeteers’ on the afternoon of THURSDAY 7 OCTOBER 2004 at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London.
Puppetry of the Penis (a non-sexual comedy which shows male genitalia in an hilarious new light) has played to more than 1,000,000 people across the UK, Australia, Europe and North America. Further tours are about to be confirmed and this has brought about a requirement for another three Puppeteers.
A CELEBRITY panel of judges led by novelist and goddess Ms KATHY LETTE will be sizing up all applicants.
The Ancient Australian Art of Genital Origami requires its artists to have astonishing stamina, an unbelievable s t r e t c h factor and an amazing level of testicular fortitude, and leaves both men and women gasping and laughing with more than 40 heroic and hilarious crowd-pleasing dick tricks.
Auditions are to be held at the Apollo Theatre on the afternoon of Thursday 5 October 2004.
Any male performer up to 35 years of age who feels comfortable with on-stage nudity and who has good comedy skills can apply by e-mail PuppetryAuditions@savident.com – auditionees are encouraged to attend with their own dick tricks. Successful auditionees will be invited to join a new company touring the UK and Europe in 2004/2005.

CELEBRITY JUDGES will include KATHY LETTE and JACKIE CLUNE. Kathy and Jackie are old supporters of the ART – KATHY LETTE hired PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS to perform at SALMAN RUSHDIE’s girl-only STAG NIGHT – JACKIE CLUNE has been the support act for the show since its WEST END debut four years ago and no longer knows any better. FURTHER CELEBRITY JUDGES WILL BE ANNOUNCED.
Recent celebrity converts include MONICA LEWINSKY and JULIE BURCHILL (who said that in her next life she wants to come back as a strapping AUSTRALIAN BOY!).
