The washing machine was arriving today… not on its own as it can’t walk or roll, it will be brought in. We’ve paid for delivery, unpacking (i.e. packaging removal - which in my head should be free) and removal from our garden of the old washing machine which we put out there a few days ago… when we were expecting the first machine to arrive! We haven’t paid for installation, which will mean fun and games and a few chosen words later on. Richard was expecting a text to give us a ‘window’, in the meantime, a desk day.
It turned into a chatty day for Richard; updating a neighbour on Washing Machine Gate, catching up with our friend Gill, and also seeing where Vivi of What Vivi Did Next is with life and her expected house move. Whilst Richard did this, the washing machine sat quietly and happily in the middle room having been delivered during the promised texted timeslot. As I’d expected, there were a few chosen words and phrases used during the machine’s installation, though she’s working fine… and apologies to the washing machine if I am using its wrong pronoun! Tomorrow we’re promised ourselves a trip to Avebury, though I tend to feel it won’t happen that way. I’m sure Richard will want to get on top of the washing that’s piling high in the washing basket! Weather: Sunny from early off, and feeling milder though chilly in the house. Breakfast: Ryvita, peanut butter and a sliced banana Lunch: Lidl Peppered non-ham slices, pitta, coleslaw Supper: Linda McCartney Burgers (we usually get the mozzarella ones though I got the ordinary ones by mistake a few weeks ago), homemade chips and the leftover coleslaw from lunch
